Kuka in Genova, Italy is seeking an experienced Database Administrator to manage and optimize databases across Unix/Linux and Windows, ensuring high availability for intralogistics solutions. You will install, configure, upgrade, and monitor database services within a global IT team.
The role covers data migrations, backups, 24x7 standby support, and collaboration across departments to deliver robust data infrastructure.
Competenze
- Degree in information technology, computer science or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years as Database Administrator
- Experience with Oracle DB, MS SQL, PostgreSQL
- Experience with application servers WebLogic, WildFly, JBoss
- Proficient English (written and spoken)
- Strong collaboration across teams and departments
- Proactive, reliable, and customer-oriented
- Ability to work independently and willingness to travel internationally
Mansioni
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot databases on Unix/Linux and Windows platforms
- Install and configure application servers (WebLogic, WildFly)
- Apply system upgrades/patches on customer environments (remote or onsite)
- Configure and ensure high availability (Data Guard) for database systems
- Perform data migrations between DB versions
- Develop and enhance backup and restore strategies
- Document changes in change log and asset management database
- Provide standby 24x7 support and perform proactive problem analysis
- Conduct regular database health checks and generate improvement recommendations
- Adhere to Swisslog processes and standards
