Making Science is seeking an experienced SEO Consultant in Padova, Italy. You'll be involved in strategic SEO planning and full-stack analysis for key clients. Responsibilities include managing content strategies, AI-driven optimization, and collaboration with international teams. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 4 years in a similar role, advanced SEO expertise, and proficiency in tools like Semrush and Google Analytics. The GEO & SEO Department at Making Science is a young, multidisciplinary team with a vast experience in SEO and an eagerness to learn every day. We always seek to add value to our clients through our expertise and innovation, by going the extra mile in all our projects. What we’d like you to do

• Strategic SEO & GEO Planning: Create structures that facilitate search engine crawling and analyze those used by competitors. Define SEO/GEO project goals, growth estimates, and editorial plans aligned with business objectives.
• Full-Stack Analysis: Analyze web pages, defining keyword research, architecture, technical aspects (loading speed, CMS, server), and backlink profiles.
• Content & Copywriting Leadership: Experience managing SEO content strategies and e-commerce projects. Develop high-quality copywriting strategies and implement E-E-A-T best practices across all content types (blog posts, newsletters, product pages, landing pages).
• AI-Driven Optimization: Manage the content creation process using AI-assisted workflows, prompt engineering, and LLM-driven research to scale optimization while maintaining quality.
• Local & Technical SEO: Conduct WPO analysis to improve speed, follow SEO guidelines, and manage geo-clustering or location-based strategies.
• Performance Reporting: Proven experience with Google Data Studio, generating reports with SEO/GEO KPIs, integrating Search Console, Analytics, and SEMrush.
• Business & Competitive Intelligence: Identify opportunities through deep dives into Search Console and competitor benchmarking. Monitor organic performance, SERP features, and Google algorithm updates.
• Collaboration & Training: Lead international projects and collaborate with Paid Search, Product Owners, Developers, and Shop Management. Evangelize good SEO/GEO practices and translate technical concepts for non-SEO teams.
• Efficiency: Perform assigned tasks efficiently, using resourceful problem-solving to obtain the best results without being paralyzed by analysis.

What we’d like you to bring

• Professional Background: Minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role.
• Advanced Expertise: SEO & GEO expertise, including Local SEO, Google Business Profile, geo-clustering, and programmatic SEO.
• Content Mastery: Proven experience in defining editorial strategies and a deep understanding of E-E-A-T across various digital formats.
• AI & LLM Proficiency: Strong understanding of how LLMs work, prompt engineering, workflow automation, and evaluation frameworks for AI-generated outputs.
• Tool Mastery: Proficient in Semrush, Sistrix, Search Console, Google Analytics, Screaming Frog, Excel, OnCrawl, and Ahrefs. Knowledge of HTML & JS developments is required.
• Analytical Vision: Ability to base strategies on data and main KPIs, with a clear business vision to understand client priorities beyond just SEO.
• Synergy & Adaptability: Experience working with Paid, UX, and IT teams. Proactive attitude with the ability to generate results in a few weeks and adapt to new challenges.
• Communication: Exceptional communication skills and experience managing high-level meetings with clients.
