A leading manufacturing firm is seeking a highly experienced General Counsel Legal & Compliance to manage all legal and compliance matters. The ideal candidate will have at least 8–10 years of experience, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to provide legal solutions aligned with business goals. This role offers flexibility in location and the possibility of remote work, with some travel required.

Competenze

  • Minimum of 8–10 years of professional legal experience.
  • Experience as in-house lawyer in international companies preferred.
  • Broad legal expertise rather than a narrow specialization.
  • Experience in the medical products industry is advantageous but not mandatory.

We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive General Counsel Legal & Compliance to lead and manage all legal and compliance matters for the SteelcoBelimed Group. This role is crucial to ensure legal integrity, mitigate risks, and support strategic business decisions from a legal perspective. The ideal candidate will possess a broad legal background, strong business acumen, and the ability to work independently while coordinating external legal counsel in a cost-effective manner. This position includes direct management of at least one team member, a Compliance Specialist based in Italy.

Task & Responsabilities
  • Serve as the primary legal support for SteelcoBelimed, providing strategic legal guidance across all business areas and manage inter-company agreements between the legal entities of the group.
  • Independently manage legal matters and coordinate external legal counsel when necessary.
  • Conduct robust risk assessments based on legal expertise and professional experience.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including: Contract Law, Data Privacy Laws, Competition Law, Italian Legislative Decree 231/2001, Export Control Regulations.
  • Support and advise on legal issues related to medical products and devices.
  • Collaborate functionally with the Miele Headquarter Legal Department in Gütersloh, fostering a team-oriented and cooperative environment.
  • Act as a business partner to internal stakeholders, offering pragmatic legal solutions aligned with business goals.
  • Review and manage legal documentation, especially in relation to Italian authorities and jurisdictions.
  • Monitor and manage any legal claims, in collaboration with the local legal expert.
  • Contribute to budget planning and legal resource allocation for the JV.
  • Ensure that business is conducted in compliance with the principles of legality and transparency, and with the Group Policies.
Experience & Background
  • Minimum of 8–10 years of professional legal experience.
  • Experience as in-house lawyer in international companies preferred.
  • Broad legal expertise rather than a narrow specialization.
  • Legal qualification in Italy is a strong plus.
  • Experience in the medical products industry is advantageous but not mandatory.
