10x.team is seeking an experienced General Counsel for flexible, remote freelance work (EU/UK). You will help AI systems understand legal reasoning by reviewing outputs and drafting scenarios. This role centers on evaluating AI-generated legal content and providing structured, actionable feedback, not traditional advisory tasks.

Do you have 8 to 20 hours per week available alongside your main work or consulting projects? Join us in shaping how AI understands and applies legal reasoning at scale.

About the Role

10x.team connects expert freelancers with leading AI labs building next-generation models. We are seeking experienced General Counsel and seasoned legal professionals based in the EU or UK to enhance the accuracy, depth, and practical relevance of AI-powered legal systems.

What You Will Do

• Review and refine AI-generated outputs on topics such as contract negotiation, regulatory interpretation, risk analysis, and in-house counsel strategy

• Evaluate AI responses for legal accuracy, realistic application, and practical business alignment

• Draft realistic legal scenarios and case studies based on your direct experience

• Create variations of scenarios from multiple perspectives (e.g. GC, in-house legal counsel, executive, regulator)

• Spot gaps, flawed logic, or weak legal analysis in AI-generated outputs

In simple terms:

You’ll assess and improve AI-generated legal content, ensuring it reflects authentic legal reasoning, practical logic, and current best practice. Rather than performing traditional legal advisory or transactional tasks, you’ll apply your expertise to help AI systems genuinely understand and reason about the realities of legal counsel work at scale.

Who You Are

• A senior-level General Counsel, in-house legal counsel, or equivalent experienced legal professional

• Based in and eligible to work in the EU or UK

• Several years of hands-on experience in addressing complex legal matters within organizations (e.g. contract law, regulatory compliance, risk mitigation)

• Strong ability to evaluate legal reasoning and distinguish between theory and practical, actionable solutions

• Comfortable working independently and providing structured, critical feedback

• Available for 8–20 hours per week, with immediate availability

The missions listed for AI Lab roles are not traditional job openings. AI Lab work is often highly confidential as this exposes information of what an AI Lab is working on, and project requests are unpredictable. When an AI Lab request comes in, we often need to respond within 24 hours with suitable talent.

Matching depends on the specific needs of each AI Lab project and your niche expertise. Once your profile is reviewed and approved, you may be matched to relevant AI Lab projects when suitable opportunities arise.

This can happen within hours, but it may also take months, depending on the researchers at the AI labs and their project needs.
