Febucci S.R.L. is seeking an adaptable game artist to lead art direction for an unannounced project inspired by PSX-era visuals. You will shape moodboards, create 3D environments, craft textures, and set dress levels directly in the game engine.
We value a strong portfolio, at least one commercial project, and familiarity with Godot or Unity. 2D art skills are a plus, and availability from early 2027 is ideal.
We are a small games development team all around Italy. We create indie games experimenting with player choices, atmosphere and the relationship between game mechanics and narrative.
We also help game developers create their own games, from our tools (like Text Animator) to tutorials and blog posts.
We are working on an unannounced game inspired by PSX titles, from simple shapes, small textures and a few well-chosen details.
Even if cannot reveal much publicly yet (but will do during our first calls), just know that our inspirations are Outer Wilds, Voices of the Void and [REDACTED], and very much prefer a good and compelling atmosphere, than realism and pixel-perfect models.
We are looking for a person that can help us with:
We have many areas of interest that might work out for you (e.g. UI, 2D Art, or 3D), which is why we are keeping this position more general and are directly looking for more people to work with.
More generally, being a small team means that you will have a lot of agency. Ask us questions, drown us with questions about the lore, directions and more, and we will be more than enthusiast to create something that will make you, the team and the players happy.
We’d love to see your style, your ideas and how you approach making art for a game. What we are / are not looking for:
You don’t need to match every point above; we have a thousands projects and you might be a match for this or other projects, now or in the future! (Let us choose you instead of auto-filtering you out!)
