A leading international company in Milan seeks a dedicated General Accounting Manager to enhance the accounting skills of the finance team. Responsibilities include financial reporting, analysis, and teamwork, with a focus on compliance and efficiency. The ideal candidate has 4-5 years of experience and fluency in Italian and English. This full-time role offers 2 days of remote work per week.

For a leading international company we are seeking a dedicated and experienced General Accounting Manager to strengthen the accounting, analytical and reporting skills of the Finance team in Italy.

Location

Milan - 2 days of remote work per week

Main activities

• Ensure accurate accounting and financial reporting, including month‑end close in JDE and data uploads to Tagetik
• Perform financial analysis and collaborate with Controlling, Treasury, and Credit teams
• Define KPIs and develop tools to monitor accounting activities
• Maintain internal controls and support finance systems and procedure updates
• Drive process optimization and alignment with Group policies
• Manage tax obligations and prepare financial statements under local and international standards
• Liaise with external consultants, payroll providers, and auditors
• Oversee credit risk, monitor credit limits and collections, and support financial stability
• Coordinate a team of 2 people within the accounting department
• Contribute to key projects: SAP ERP migration, IFRS transition, and process redesign with KPI definition

Key competencies and skills

• Degree in economics/accounting or similar;
• 4/5+ years of experience in a major audit firm, supporting customers operating with an international footprint on a large scale;
• Expertise in ERP migration and accounting standards transition will be considered a strong plus;
• Strong financial, accounting skills and analytical skills;
• Fluent in Italian and English;
• Capability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously in a dynamic environment and under pressure, meeting deadlines;
• Autonomy, accountability, proactivity, team spirit, team management.
