Crionet in Monterotondo (Rome) is seeking a mid-level Software Developer with strong C#/.NET and web app experience to own features end-to-end. You will design, implement, test, and deploy web applications, RESTful APIs, and data access layers while collaborating with product teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.

The role requires 3–5 years of hands-on development, proficiency in SQL and EF Core, and a pragmatic, autonomous approach to problem-solving.

Qualifications

• Solid professional experience in software development, 3–5 years, with C#, ASP.NET Core and web app development using Razor Views (MVC).
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and back-end services.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases (SQL Server or PostgreSQL).
• Experience with ORM frameworks such as Entity Framework Core.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, SOLID principles, and design patterns.

The Role:

We are looking for an experienced Mid-Level Software Developer with strong expertise in C# and .NET, capable of independently delivering complete software features and taking ownership of technical solutions, while collaborating with the team on broader architectural decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Web app development: Independently design, implement, test, and maintain web applications using C# and .NET.
• API development: Build and integrate reliable, secure, and maintainable RESTful APIs.
• Technical ownership: Take responsibility for assigned features, from requirements analysis and technical design through deployment and maintenance.
• Database development: Write and optimize SQL queries, manage relational databases, and implement efficient data access using ORM frameworks.
• Problem solving: Independently investigate and resolve complex technical issues, including production bugs and performance bottlenecks.
• Code quality: Write clean, testable, and maintainable code, actively participate in code reviews, and contribute to engineering best practices.
• Architecture and performance: Make informed implementation decisions and contribute to discussions on application architecture, scalability, security, and performance.
• Mobile development: Contribute to the development and integration of cross-platform mobile applications when needed.
• Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product teams, and other stakeholders to deliver effective and reliable solutions.
• Technical documentation: Maintain clear and practical documentation for implemented solutions.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Solid professional experience in software development, ideally 3–5 years, with a strong focus on C#, ASP.NET Core, and web application development using Razor Views (MVC).
• Proven hands‑on experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and back‑end services.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases, preferably Microsoft SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with ORM frameworks, such as Entity Framework Core.
• Solid understanding of object‑oriented programming, SOLID principles, and common software design patterns.
• Experience using Git and working with collaborative development and code review processes.
• Ability to debug, troubleshoot, and optimize existing applications independently.
• Good understanding of cloud‑based application architectures, security principles, and performance optimization.
• Ability to manage assigned technical work autonomously, identify potential issues, and propose effective solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Professional working proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with Flutter or cross‑platform mobile development.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure or AWS.
• Familiarity with React.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized environments.
