Serco is hiring a Full-stack Developer (Data & Web Applications) for IPCHEM, the European Commission's data platform, in Ispra, Italy. You will maintain data harmonisation, ETL pipelines, and web services using Python, R, and ownCloud/Nextcloud APIs, collaborating with data providers and users across Europe.

The role requires leading datasets integration, coordinating with the System Manager and stakeholders, and applying FAIR data principles in a multilingual, multinational environment.

Competenze

• At least 10 years of experience in data management, including a minimum of 5 years managing large-scale datasets (hundreds of millions of records).
• Minimum of 3 years coordinating technical teams in Agile IT projects (PM² or Scrum).
• Experience with PostgreSQL/PostGIS and data harmonisation tools is highly desirable.

Mansioni

• Lead the maintenance of IPCHEM data harmonisation, integration, and dissemination processes using ETL, ownCloud, R, and Python.
• Support IPCHEM data providers and users, including onboarding processes and documentation.
• Lead harmonisation and integration of new IPCHEM datasets and updates to existing ones.
• Coordinate with the IPCHEM System Manager, Business Manager, data providers, and users to ensure effective delivery.
