Role |

We are seeking a Freelance Design Project Manager to coordinate and manage the execution phase of our interior design projects in Milan, ensuring that each apartment reflects Ukio’s high standards of quality and aesthetics.In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing each project from its earliest operational stages through to completion, supervising the setup, installation, and final preparation of the apartments. Your mission is to ensure every space is perfectly ready, functional, and aligned with Ukio’s aesthetic and operational standards.You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure every detail is managed precisely, on time, and within budget. As a freelancer, you will enjoy autonomy in managing your projects while embracing new challenges and opportunities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.This role is ideal for a proactive, organized, and detail-oriented professional with strong problem-solving skills and the flexibility to thrive in a growing startup.

Responsibilities |

• Conduct measurements and take photos of apartments in Milan.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure an efficient onboarding of new apartments.
• Ensure that each apartment meets Ukio’s quality standards and is fully functional for guest use.
• Oversee and manage project execution in alignment with design specifications and operational requirements.
• Track furniture deliveries and coordinate with the logistics team to guarantee smooth receipt and installation.
• Manage furniture return and replacement processes, when necessary.
• Coordinate the installation of electronic locks or arrange key copies when locks are not feasible.
• Supervise the installation of furniture, appliances, and large equipment, ensuring accuracy and quality.
• Coordinate handymen and technicians, ensuring timely completion of all work with the right materials and tools.
• Manage staging and oversee photoshoots to ensure apartments meet Ukio’s aesthetic standards.
• Compile inventories and complete final checklists to confirm apartments are fully guest-ready

About you |

• Minimum 2 years of experience managing or coordinating interior design or residential projects (hospitality experience a plus).
• Background in interior design or a related field.
• Proficiency in design software (SketchUp, AutoCAD) preferred.
• Intermediate Excel skills are required.
• Highly organized, energetic, and detail-oriented.
• Excellent communication skills in Italian and English (Spanish language it's a plus).
• Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Flexible, resilient, and comfortable with change and ambiguity.
• Confident working in cross-functional teams and in a fast-paced startup environment.
