TurinTech, Forward Engineering, a global partner for engineering services, seeks a Flight Dynamics Operations Engineer for the Space Sector, based in Italy. Responsibilities include orbit determination, CAM management, LEOP support, and Python-based workflow development.

The candidate should hold a Master’s degree in aerospace, mathematics, or physics with at least 2 years in Flight Dynamics Operations for LEO, and be fluent in English and Italian, with strong Unix/Linux and programming skills

Competenze

• Master's degree in aerospace engineering, mathematics, physics or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in Flight Dynamics Operations for LEO satellites.
• Good command of English and Italian languages (B2 or higher).
• Strong knowledge of orbit determination and satellite dynamics.

Mansioni

• Orbit determination, maneuver planning and monitoring of satellite orbital parameters.
• Analysis and management of orbital events, conjunction analysis and CAM.
• Definition and optimization of Flight Dynamics System workflows.
• Development and validation of operational procedures, including Python-based automated pipelines.
• Preparation and participation in System Operations Validation Test Campaigns.
• Support to LEOP and Commissioning activities.
• On-console operational activities during LEOP and on-call support.
• Management of routine and emergency flight dynamics operations.
• Proposal of improvements for in-orbit control strategies.
• Support to Ground Segment Engineering teams for future mission flight dynamics systems development.

Main Activity/Responsibility

• Orbit determination, maneuver planning and monitoring of satellite orbital parameters
• Analysis and management of orbital events, conjunction analysis and Collision Avoidance Maneuvers (CAM)
• Definition and optimization of Flight Dynamics System (FDS) workflows
• Development and validation of operational procedures, including Python-based automated pipelines
• Preparation and participation in System Operations Validation Test Campaigns
• Support to LEOP (Launch and Early Orbit Phase) and Commissioning activities
• On-console operational activities during LEOP and on-call support
• Management of routine and emergency flight dynamics operations
• Proposal of improvements for in-orbit control strategies
• Support to Ground Segment Engineering teams for future mission flight dynamics systems development

TECH SKILLS

• Master's Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or equivalent
• At least 2 years of experience in Flight Dynamics Operations for LEO satellites
• Strong knowledge of orbit determination and satellite attitude/orbit dynamics
• Experience in SSA (Space Situational Awareness) and CAM management
• Experience in operational space missions and satellite control activities
• Good expertise in Python scripting
• Experience with Unix/Linux based systems
• Ability to manage operational activities in nominal and critical scenarios
• Strong coordination and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Good command of English and Italian languages (B2 or higher)
