Job summary

STERIS in Rome is seeking a Consumable Operator on a fixed-term contract to support daily manufacturing, plan production, and maintain productivity and quality. You will collaborate with customs agents, warehouse staff, and the quality team to ensure efficient operations.

The role requires knowledge of production planning and chemistry processes, adherence to safety guidelines, and data logging. A High School Diploma is requested; MS Office proficiency is needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Moderate knowledge of handling and safety characteristics of raw materials and finished goods.
• Understanding of Production Planning and Execution.
• Understanding of Chemistry production.
• Chemical handling experience preferred in manufacturing.
• MS Office (Word, Excel) and email communication.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health and safety guidelines are followed and suggest improvements.
• Comply with health and safety procedures.
• Observe processes to meet company goals.
• Follow written instructions precisely.
• Routinely operate machines or manual tasks to meet production targets.
• Be responsible for cleaning and maintenance of equipment.

• Oversee bulk production processes and ensure on-time, quality output.
• Manage warehouse for raw materials approved by quality control.
• Apply continuous improvement approaches.
