Role Overview

The Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the hotel and member’s club, ensuring accurate financial reporting, forecasting and budget management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements.
• Manage the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of financial information.
• Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard hotel assets and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to senior management to support strategic decision making.
• Ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices and other financial obligations.
• Confident in handling payroll reconciliation and manager relationships with Accountants and Payroll consultants.
• Manage the hotel’s accounting and finance team, providing leadership and direction to ensure team productivity and development.

Requirements

• Passionate about the hospitality industry, numbers, and people.
• Proven track record in leadership with at least 5 years’ experience in a luxury/upscale property.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Opera and Sage.
• Proven ability to build and maintain good relationships with all stakeholders.
• Excellent people skills with a strong ability to communicate and listen effectively.
• Fluent level of English.

Only those Financial Controllers who are eligible to work in Italy or have a valid Italian work permit/visa will be considered for the above position.
