A leading multinational company is hiring for an accounting role in Milan. The successful candidate will focus on financial compliance, tax management, and reporting. This position offers an opportunity to work remotely from anywhere in Italy, with a need for occasional travel for team interactions. Candidates must have strong knowledge of Italian GAAP, IFRS, and experience with SAP. Fluency in Italian and English is essential.

Your Tasks

Due to intensive development of Beiersdorf Shared Services, we recently established the Accounting Department responsible for one of our luxury brands. We are hiring for people willing to shape the young organization actively to establish it as a regional center of excellence in future. You will join our international accounting team, work in an international environment with a great atmosphere and numerous opportunities for professional growth.

Your tasks will mainly focus on providing:

• Contact ("Business Partner") for the Finance Manager of our Italian affiliate in all financial accounting matters. This requires very close cooperation with the local organization
• Periodical closing of the books in the group ledger, cost center accounting and preparation of statements of income (SOI) in accordance with IFRS and group specific guidelines
• Manage Italian tax compliance activities (VAT, withholding, INTRA reporting, income tax and IRAP returns, annual declarations, social contributions, and quarterly/annual filings) with the support of external tax advisors and colleagues.
• Oversee year-end closing and statutory reporting (trial balance, tax calculation, preparation of financial statements and XBRL package, coordination of Board and Shareholder approvals, and filing with the Companies Register) in close cooperation with internal finance teams and external consultants. Detailed documentation exists for all steps, and the successful candidate should be comfortable leveraging these materials to ensure compliance and accuracy
• Self-reliant analysis and documentation of accounts and financial statements
• Supporting the team for current account in OTC/PTP beside RTR activities

Your Profile

• High sense of ownership, positive "can-do" mindset and ability to navigate through uncertainty, high level of flexibility
• Knowledge of Italian local GAAP and international accounting standards (IFRS) is must
• Willingness to consult with advisors and dive deep into the existing comprehensive documentation
• Confident handling of SAP (FI/CO)
• Fluent in Italian and English

This position has the option to work 100% remote from anywhere within Italy, if it is not possible for you to work recurringly from our office in Milano. In a remote scenario, occasional travel for visiting the Italian affiliate, team business trips in Poland or training may be required.
