About The Role

Reporting to FAE Manager and EMEA Enterprise Head of Sales, you will be expected to support the demand creation and project management of Arduino Pro in EMEA. As a dedicated Embedded Field Application Engineer, the chosen candidate will be responsible for accelerating the adoption of SOM Product Portfolio as also our PLC offering and our Industrial Cloud, leveraging your embedded hardware knowledge and experience. The focus will be on growing our market in selected territories, with a strong field presence to support Key Accounts, Value Added Resellers and Distributors. Trainings on Products and Solutions, as also Battlecards and other sales materials, will be delivered to grant your success in the role.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Relationship with Prospects and Customers.
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate these into detailed Embedded Hardware requirements.
  • Development of Reference Design and Lighthouse Deals.
  • Help customers to develop the best solution.
  • Help our R&D and Product Management Teams to sync with market’s needs.
Primary Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor or Master in Electronic Engineering or Data Science.
  • 5+ years up industry experience in embedded software design.
  • Good experience in designing and developing complex embedded software.
  • Understanding of embedded processor systems & architectures (hardware-software partitioning, processor architectures, communication, boot process & security, and functional safety).
  • Knowledge of Linux kernel and device-driver development such as Ethernet, PCIe, and USB.
  • Experience with C/C++ and TCL and Python programming.
  • Experience with STM32/NXP microcontrollers and Xilinx SOC/FPGA products is preferred.
  • Able to troubleshoot various kernel issues with the help of the gdb server or host-based debugger.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail.
  • Experience in Machine Learning is a value add.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to rapidly establish rapport and credibility.
  • Fluent English language - Strong presentations skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Valid Driver’s license is a must.
Work Experience

Minimum experience required is typically 5+ years with bachelor's or equivalent. It's possible for a career salesperson to plateau for many years at this level.

Education And Certification(s)

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.
