Your role within the team

We are seeking a driven and commercially minded Export Manager to develop and grow our international sales network.

As part of the Sales team, you will be responsible for expanding our global presence, managing key international accounts and establishing long-term partnerships with distributors, retailers and other B2B customers.

This role requires strong commercial acumen, excellent relationship building skills and the ability to operate in fast moving, multicultural environments.

The role aims to increase volumes in countries not directly managed by local subsidiaries, ensuring profitable growth and full compliance with internal commercial policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyse market potential, competitive landscape, and customer needs to prioritise opportunities.
  • Identify, approach, and negotiate with potential international partners and clients (importers, distributors, online retailers and food supplements industry).
  • Oversee the full commercial process from quotation and pricing through negotiation and closing.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with Finance, Customer Service, Supply Chain and Regulatory teams to ensure seamless order execution.
  • Track client performance, sales volumes and profitability by market and customer.
  • Analyse and recommend tactical export opportunities in new regions requiring minimal or no local marketing investment.
  • Represent the brand at international trade shows and ensure timely follow-up with prospective partners.
Desired Skills and Experience

To make sure we are setting new starters up for success, we ask that you meet a few criteria relevant to the role to be considered for this opportunity:

  • 3–5 years of experience in B2B export sales, ideally within the food supplements industry
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with a proven track record of closing international deals.
  • English; additional languages is advantageous.
  • Sound understanding of export processes, including Incoterms, payment methods (L / C, advance, open account) and customs documentation.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, hands‑on approach and strong commercial drive.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple country portfolios independently.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills – seeks to solve problems and bring recommendations rather than just reporting on issues or challenges.
  • Results‑oriented self‑starter that takes initiative without being asked and has a proven track record of excellent results in a fast-growth environment.
  • Highly organized and disciplined with strong attention to detail.
  • Collaborative – proven collaborative leadership style and a team player.
  • Strong written, verbal and listening communication skills.
  • Excelling at operating in a fast paced & entrepreneurial environment.
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional matrix environment.
  • Native / bi‑lingual Italian speaker fluency in English is a must.

Internationally minded

Solid experience of in‑market brand / product marketing / digital across all elements of the marketing mix.

Demonstrated ability to think strategically and develop local brand strategy and plans.

Experience in communication development and media planning across multiple channels.

Excellent understanding of cross functional working to deliver products to market.

Reporting Line

Reports to the Commercial Director Italy.

Based in Milan office, with a hybrid working model and occasional international travel for fairs, business meetings, or partner visits.
