The City of Attleboro is seeking a Director of Planning and Development to lead the Planning and Development Department under the Mayor's direction. This role focuses on initiating, developing, coordinating, and implementing land use planning projects and policies for the City.

The successful candidate will supervise multiple offices, advise the Planning Board and Zoning Board of Appeals, and work with state and regional partners to advance open space, economic development, and capital

Competenze

• Master's degree in urban or regional planning with at least four years of related experience, or a relevant Bachelor's with six years.
• Strong knowledge of land use planning principles and zoning/subdivision regulations.
• Excellent written and oral communication; ability to develop and implement programs.
• Ability to lead departments and coordinate with boards and commissions.

• Supervise and direct the Planning and Development Department operations.
• Develop and implement land use planning projects and policies.
• Coordinate with Planning Board, ZBA, and Conservation Commission.
• Prepare annual budget and maintain departmental records.
• Represent the City on regional planning matters.
