A leading international food ingredients company is searching for an experienced European Sales & Marketing Director to develop and direct all sales and marketing activities across Europe. The role requires a proven track record in sales within the food industry, specifically in flavours, colours, extracts, and more. Strong leadership skills and a commitment to customer satisfaction are essential. Fluent English and Italian, along with a degree in a relevant field, are mandatory. This is a full-time, onsite position in Northern Italy.

  • 10+ years of experience in a B2B sales environment within the food industry.
  • Fluent in English and Italian; other languages are a plus.
  • Successful track record in building and growing sales.

Role: The Director of Sales & Marketing develops and directs all sales, marketing and business developmentactivities in Europe

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Developing a sales and marketing plan to achieve set growth targets.
  • Developing and managing an effective sales and distributor team
Tasks

Qualifications and experience:

  • Successful track record of building and growing sales and profitability in a food ingredient business (e.g. Flavours, Colours, Extracts, Powders)
  • closing sales and satisfying customers at senior levels including Directors, VPs and owners / executives
  • Highly self-motivated; able to operate autonomously in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong fit with the Company’s culture and unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction
Requirements

Qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree with a preference for sciences or food technology / ingredients and/or MBA
  • Fluent in English, Italian and other european languages are an asset
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in a B2B sales environment within the food industry
