A leading chemical company is seeking a Europe Mechanical Engineer & Project Engineer to ensure regulatory compliance and lead capital project success across its European sites. Ideal candidates will have a university degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 10 years of experience in mechanical or project engineering within the chemical industry. Strong skills in mechanical integrity and regulatory compliance are essential, alongside excellent communication abilities. This role is based in Barry, Wales, with travel flexibility across Europe.

Competenze

  • Minimum 10 years in a Mechanical or Project Engineering role within the chemical or process industries.
  • Proven experience managing Mechanical Integrity programmes, including WSE, inspection planning, degradation analysis, repair execution.
  • Strong understanding of applicable EU standards and directives, such as PEP Directive 2014/68/EU, Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, Seveso Directive.

Mansioni

  • Oversee integrity assessments for high-risk mechanical assets across all European sites.
  • Own and regularly update the Mechanical Integrity Criticality Assessment Register.
  • Work with external consultants to create Risk-Based Inspection and Written Schemes of Examination.
  • Review and give final approval for all mechanical and structural designs.
  • Lead, plan, and execute key capital projects at the Barry site.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to agree on repair plans.
  • Use SAP and other tools to report on asset condition.
