A global luxury goods company in Rome seeks a Facility Specialist to manage both hard and soft services. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Engineering/Architecture and 3-4 years of experience in luxury retail. You will oversee managing budgets, maintain compliance, and coordinate activities across departments, ensuring the highest standards are met. Must be fluent in Italian and English with strong organizational skills.

Europe & Middle East Retail Facility Specialist

The position is based in Rome. We are looking for a candidate to bring dynamism to the team, to come up with new management proposals for ordinary and extraordinary activities, to establish good interpersonal relationships between all departments and suppliers involved in the management of our boutiques and to challenge everything that has been done so far on an organisational level in order to draw a new direction within the Facility Team.

Job responsibilities
  • Manage and control hard and soft services (technical equipment maintenance and cleaning services);
  • Prepare and manage Facility and Maintenance planned and extraordinary activities;
  • Manage budget estimation and cost control for ordinary (opex) and extraordinary activities (capex), in collaboration with Finance department;
  • Manage the service agreements for maintenance and cleaning activities in collaboration with Legal dept;
  • Cooperate with the Purchasing and the Legal departments to prepare periodic specialist tenders for the activation of new contracts;
  • Supervise and coordinate New Openings/Closings handovers;
  • Participate in periodic site inspections in the stores to ensure the highest Fendi’s standard and to check execution of planned and extraordinary maintenance activities;
  • Participate in the implementation of the facility management software (Service Channel);
  • Collaborate with Retail Operation department for any issues which may occur in the network, keep on going communications between Store Managers, Suppliers, Operation Managers and all Teams involved within all the facility processes;
  • Collaborate with H&S department to ensure compliance with local regulations;
  • Participate in sustainability and environmental impact reduction projects;
  • Organise and participate to site auditing and service review.
Profile
  • Degree in Engineering/Architecture;
  • 3-4 years of experience in a similar position and in luxury retail;
  • Good working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project and AutoCAD;
  • Excellent understanding of design drawings and project documentation;
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills;
  • Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks simultaneously;
  • Strong organizational skills, with attention to details;
  • Ability to manage change, thinking laterally and effectively;
  • Fluent in Italian and English, both written and spoken. Other languages (French and/or German and/or Spanish) are a plus.
