Mercy is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to perform cleaning and sanitation throughout the healthcare facility. The role supports infection control and regulatory compliance to maintain a hygienic environment that promotes patient healing and well-being.

Minimum qualifications include no education or experience; preferred qualifications include a high school diploma and hospital environmental service experience, plus ability to follow instructions and perform physical tasks.

Competenze

• Education: None for minimum qualifications.
• Preferred: High School diploma or equivalent and hospital environmental service experience.
• Experience: Prior hospital environmental service experience and ability to follow written/verbal instructions.
• Customer service experience is a plus.

The Environmental Services Technician is responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and sanitation tasks throughout the healthcare facility to ensure compliance with infection control standards and regulatory requirements. This position plays a critical role in promoting a healthy and hygienic environment conducive to patient healing and well-being.

Position Details:

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: None.
Experience: None.

Preferred Qualifications:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Prior Hospital Environmental service experience. Prior work experience following written and verbal instructions. Previous experience with performing manual tasks. Prior experience working with the public; customer service.

Physical Requirements:

• Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.


• Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift.


• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
