Overview

Hitachi Energy is seeking an Electrical / Mechanical Designer to join our Transformers engineering team based in Monselice (PD). The role focuses on oil‑filled power transformer design and offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of sustainable energy.

Assessment Day

Participate in our assessment day on 4 December, 9:00‑17:00. Highlights include a visit to our factory, hands‑on design work, and the chance to demonstrate your talent.

Responsibilities
  • Develop electromechanical designs using standard engineering tools and processes.
  • Contribute to design reviews and verification with the project design team.
  • Analyze customer contractual documents and technical specifications.
  • Attend project planning meetings to track progress and ensure timely delivery.
  • Manage project costs, create cost sheets, and monitor them during execution.
  • Report contract, quality, and cost issues to management with recommendations.
  • Support transformer manufacturing to resolve issues and ensure top‑level quality.
  • Gather and integrate customer feedback to guide future product enhancements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 1‑2 years of experience in a technical department (plus if in transformers).
  • Good knowledge of 2D CAD software and 3D modelling, preference for PTC Creo.
  • Fluency in Italian and good knowledge of English (B1/B2).
  • Proactive, detail‑oriented, flexible, team‑working, and strong communication skills.
  • Availability for short, occasional trips to customers/suppliers.
