Job summary

RE:LAB s.r.l. is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and integrate software solutions for embedded systems, user interfaces, and back-end services. You will collaborate with developers, designers, and system specialists across the full SDLC to deliver robust software.

The role emphasizes advanced C++ in embedded contexts, Qt/QML interfaces, signal processing, and database integration, with on-site work in Ancona, Italy. Strong English communication is required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
• Advanced C++ skills, including OOP, multithreading and synchronization, with embedded C/C++ experience.
• Experience with Qt/QML, JavaScript, UI/UX and REST API integration.
• Knowledge of Embedded Linux and protocols like Modbus, I2C, UART, SPI.
• Skills in algorithm design, signal processing, and digital filters with MATLAB/Simulink.
• Experience designing relational and real-time databases; knowledge of SQL, Python, Java, PHP, Node.js, and back-end frameworks.
• Proficiency in debugging, profiling, and version control with Git and CVS.
• Teamwork, problem-solving, planning, and technical English; travel availability as needed.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop C/C++ software for applications and embedded systems, ensuring performance, reliability, and integration.
• Develop user interfaces using Qt/QML and JavaScript, focusing on usability and integration with back-end services, REST APIs, and databases.
• Develop, simulate, and validate signal processing algorithms and digital filters, including MATLAB/Simulink, and port them to the target platform.
• Develop and manage back-end components and databases, integrating them with existing systems and applications.
• Perform software testing, debugging, profiling, and optimization, helping resolve technical issues.
• Maintain code documentation, version control, and software change management, while contributing to activity planning.
