Job summary

Serco Inc. (Serco) invites an experienced Enterprise Land Mobile Radio (ELMR) Systems Engineer to join the CNIC N6 program in Sigonella, Italy. The role centers on administering ELMR radios, sub-components, peripherals, and firmware at the installation.

Success requires an active DoD Secret clearance, US citizenship, and DoD IAT Level II or Security+ certification, with 8+ years of relevant DoD experience and hands-on ELMR radios experience (APX, MCC, XTL, SRX) and KVL loaders.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance.
• US citizenship.
• Active 8570 DoD IAT Level II or Security+ certification.
• High School Diploma.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant DoD experience.
• Minimum 2 years configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting ELMR radios (APX, MCC, XTL, SRX) and KVL loaders.
• Experience with PSNet providing Tier 1 support.
• Working knowledge of WiFi, Wireless Access Points, Ethernet cabling, and handheld scanners.
• Travel up to 10%.
• Valid US Passport.

Responsibilities

• Provide systems support to include programming, configuration, and testing of ELMR radios, its sub-components, peripherals, and firmware.
• Assist in the implementation, administration, testing, maintenance and upgrade of the ELMR management client software and Device programming stations.
• Assist in the design, installation, inspection, test, maintenance and upgrade of the ELMR infrastructure towers including RF and network components.
• Address ELMR trouble tickets and troubleshoot issues with ELMR radios and DBIDS systems.
• Coordinate with facility personnel to develop, implement, test and troubleshoot facility requirements in support of ELMR radios and peripherals, ELMR infrastructure, DBIDS, and PSNet transport.
• Coordinate and assist, when needed, with DBIDS, ELMR infrastructure provider and ELMR transport provider to patch and upgrade related systems.
• Develop, edit and maintain DBIDS and ELMR O&M training documents or information.
• Provide SME expertise to support the DBIDS and ELMR infrastructure E3 certification process.
