Adecco Italia spa, for a leading company in the aerospace sector, is looking for an electronic engineer.

The candidate will take responsibility for the FPGA VHDL design and validation for various space equipment.

Responsibilities

• Collaboration to the definition of functions and requirements of FPGAs embedded in space electronic equipment.
• Definition and follow-on of FPGA development and validation plans.
• FPGA logic design, coding, simulation, and synthesis using VHDL for functions required by on-board computers such as data handling for Telecommands and Telemetries; support to integration and validation activities of the developed firmware on the target hardware with other system components and software; satellite connectivity with standard and custom protocols.
• Development of suitable test benches for design verification and validation.
• Support to integration and validation activities of the developed firmware on the target hardware with other system components and software.
• Preparation of FPGA documentation according to ECSS applicable standards.
• Evaluation of new FPGA devices and related development tools.
• Interface with the customer and suppliers and collaborate with other departments including project leaders, product lines, industrial engineering, manufacturing and marketing & sales.

Qualifications

• Degree or Master degree or relevant work experience.
• Proficient in operating the simulation and modeling equipment including the designing tools.
• Well acquainted with the basic characteristics of digital designing instruments.
• Possess an expertise in typical FPGA development platforms such as Microsemi, Xilinx, Altera, etc.
• Skilled in methods and tools for FPGA design verification and validation.
• Knowledgeable about high speed DSP and I/O and integrated CPU.
• Capable of working in a dynamic work atmosphere and cooperative with team members.
• Able to manage multiple tasks at one time.
• Attitude towards problem solving and ability to achieve results within time and cost constraints.
• Good knowledge of English in writing and speaking.
