Barry-Wehmiller is seeking a Field Service Technician in Lucca, Italy to perform electro-mechanical work, install and demonstrate BW Converting equipment, and train customer staff. You will troubleshoot with engineers and work in a team to ensure proper operation and uptime.

The role requires an electro-mechanical degree, with preference for a BS in engineering, and travel up to 50% to customer sites. Safety and customer focus are emphasized throughout.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in electro-mechanical technology required.
• BS degree in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred.
• Knowledge of PLCs and servo control systems is advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Install and upgrade machines from drawings and manuals as needed.
• Set up and operate machinery and train operators on procedures.
• Perform routine and emergency electrical/mechanical service and diagnose root causes.
• Assist installation coordinator with pre/post installation meetings and audits.
• Report quality issues and take corrective action to prevent recurrence.
• Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety policies.
