A leading engineering firm in Assago (Milano) is seeking an Electrical Project Leader to oversee and coordinate high voltage projects. The role involves leading project documentation, validating engineering work, and supporting bidding processes. We are hiring an Electrical Project Leader for our Assago (Milano) office.

The resource will be part of the internal engineering team and will supervise and coordinate the design of HV/MV/LV systems, with an EPC approach, for Power sectors (generation, transmission and distribution), renewable energies and industrial environment in general, both for Italy markets and abroad.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Tech Lead for assigned projects.
• Owner of the assigned Projects document list, responsible of the correct issuing of the documents, as per time schedule.
• Check and validate documentation issued by external or internal collaborators, of each discipline.
• Identify and propose cost-optimized solutions proactively.
• Support Proposal Engineers during the bidding stage.
• Depending upon the type and complexity of each Project, the responsibilities of the resource may include also the development of engineering documentation, encompassing but not limited to:
  • Design calculations
  • Electrical schematics
  • Purchasing Specifications - Technical Instructions to Bidders
  • Layout and installation drawings
  • Cable ways
  • Earthing system

The Projects are typically in the area of electric high voltage substations, energy storage systems, renewable plants and are developed in Italy.

The Project Leader responds hierarchically to the Engineering Director. For each assigned project, PL responds also functionally to the Project Manager.

Requirements

• Electrical Engineering degree or technical school graduation with a focus on electrical engineering.
• Italian mothertongue.
• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably gained in Contractor Companies or System Integrators.
• Knowledge of electrical calculation tools for networks and cable sizing.
• Proficient with the MS Office package.
• Availability for short site missions, particularly during the commissioning stage of designed systems.
• Self-starting spirit, flexibility, adaptability, and a result-oriented approach.

Preferred

• Proficiency in both written and spoken English.
