Fauna Robotics, an Amazon company, is leading the design of power and motion control systems for its robotic platforms. You will drive long-term architecture, partner with firmware and mechanical teams, and mentor engineers to deliver reliable, high-performance robotics solutions.

We seek an experienced electrical engineer with a strong background in motor controls, battery systems, PCB design, and EMI/EMC. Join a team pushing the frontier of safe, delightful robots for everyday life.

Competenze

• 5+ years of electrical theory, robotics, controls components, and automated equipment experience
• 4+ years of motor controls experience (motor starts, VFDs, DC drives)
• Experience developing products for high-volume production
• Experience working across cross-functional teams and across levels
• Strong PCB design and layout skills (Altium, KiCad, or similar) with high-power circuits, signal integrity, and thermal constraints
• Experience with lithium-ion battery systems, BMS hardware/software, and power distribution architectures
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills with oscilloscopes, power analyzers, and motor test benches
• Proficiency with embedded interfaces (FDCAN, SPI, I2C, RS485, USB) and STM32 microcontrollers
• Knowledge of EMI/EMC mitigation techniques and compliance standards
• Experience in robotics, automotive, aerospace, or real-time electromechanical systems

Mansioni

• Lead design, layout, and validation of PCBs for power distribution, motor drivers, embedded systems, and sensor integration
• Architect and optimize power distribution and battery system to support a robot with high-performance actuators and real-time compute workloads
• Develop and refine lithium-ion battery system
• Develop high-efficiency system power architecture and power monitoring circuitry
• Ensure EMI/EMC compliance, signal integrity, and thermal design best practices
• Collaborate with firmware engineers on real-time control strategies
• Work with mechanical engineers to integrate thermal management solutions
• Define electrical architecture for real-time control, networking, and system diagnostics
• Support bring-up, debugging, and testing of prototype robots
• Work with vendors and contract manufacturers to source components and oversee production
• Mentor junior engineers, drive design reviews, and define electrical engineering best practices
