The Role

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to apply electrical, electronic, and mechanical principles to components and systems, contributing to innovative and reliable product designs. This role includes computer modeling of electrical performance, test analysis of electrical assemblies, documentation, and validation activities. The engineer will support the design and modification of prototype electrical and electromechanical systems while collaborating across functions to enhance product safety, performance and efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and development activities for electrical motors across various product lines, focusing on both new development projects and optimization of existing products. Activities include calculations, simulations, prototype testing, validation, and preparation of technical documentation.
  • Support Product Engineers in defining electrical components for products.
  • Assist Application Engineers in identifying potential application issues and proposing solutions.
  • Provide technical support to Sales Support, Marketing, Manufacturing, and Quality teams.
  • Prepare and manage electrical product data including databases, selection software, and catalog content.
  • Support functional managers in processing certification requirements, submissions, and associated documentation.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team activities focused on product development, performance enhancement, cost reduction, and quality improvement.

Requirements
  • Master’s degree in electrical engineering with specialization in electric motor design or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of design experience in the electrical motors industry.
  • Good spoken and written English is required.
  • Good spoken and written Italian.
  • Knowledge of finite-element magnetic field calculation and simulation software (ANSYS Maxwell preferred).
  • Familiarity with engineering calculation software (e.g., Matlab, Octave, Scilab, Mathcad).
  • Experience with 3D CAD software (PTC Creo preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Access.
  • Experience or academic exposure to high-efficiency motor design (e.g., EC Permanent Magnet motors) is preferred.
