Vertiv in Piove di Sacco (PD), Italy is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to develop electrical design for standard and special units, collaborating with manufacturing, controls engineering, procurement and product marketing. You will join a multidisciplinary team focused on high-performance, cost-effective design and innovation.

The role requires 3+ years in HVAC electrical design, strong Electrical CAD skills, knowledge of EMC/LV standards, and good English.

Competenze

• Technical Diploma or bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience in electrical design, ideally in HVAC.
• Excellent knowledge of Electrical CAD systems and Microsoft Office tools.
• Knowledge of thermodynamics and refrigeration principles is desirable.
• English – Intermediate level – written and spoken.
• Ability to work in a multinational, dynamic environment.
• Know-how of air conditioning/refrigeration products is a plus.
• Competences: result-oriented, team player, detail-oriented, flexible, well organized.

The Electrical Design Engineer develops electrical design for standard and special units, following objectives of quality, environment, costs designing solutions in cooperation with manufacturing engineering, controls engineering, procurement, suppliers, and compliance with the requirement highlighted by Product Marketing. He/She also supports day by day requests from manufacturing and service.

What kind of work will you be doing?

• Work in a multi-disciplinary engineering team on global products focusing on high performance, cost effective design and market leading innovation.


• Designing of the product electrical features, taking direct responsibility of the dimensioning of the principal parts or assemblies;


• To create and review product documentation (drawings, specifications, bills of material).


• Create design solutions for special products, cooperating to the costing process.


• Cooperate with Controls Engineering in the creation of controls connection guides.


• Co-design activity with external suppliers and other colleagues located in different regions.


• Analyze and resolve technical issues about products of his/her competence.


• To meet objectives of cost, quality, environment and time of execution, achieving the best trade-off between market and internal customer needs.


• To analyze and resolve technical problems as regards products under his/her responsibility.


• Availability to travel when needed between the Italian HQ (base) and a production facility in Slovakia.


• Electrical CAD skills combined with a good attention to details.


• Experience of EMC and low voltage regulations (e.g. CE).


• Competence in international electrical regulations and standards (e.g. UL, CSA, MD, and IEEE).

What will make you successful?

• Technical Diploma or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.


• At least 3 years of previous working experience on similar activities, ideally in the HVAC sector.


• Excellent knowledge of Electrical CAD systems and Microsoft Office tools.


• Good knowledge of thermodynamics and refrigeration principles are desirable but not essential.


• English – Intermediate level – Written and spoken.


• Attitude to work in a multinational and dynamic environment.


• Know-how of air conditioning/refrigeration products is a plus.

The anticipated salary range for this role in Piove di Sacco (PD), Italy is between 44.000€ to 55.000€ gross per year (based on a full-time working week). Certain roles may be eligible for variable compensation and benefits. Where applicable, a comprehensive overview of the full benefits package and any additional compensation will be provided during the recruitment process in accordance with local legal requirements. Compensationis determined based on objective, gender-neutral criteria, including skills, experience, and job responsibilities.
