JAM Recruitment Ltd in Milano is seeking an Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join data centre projects across Europe. You will lead and support commissioning of LV/MV electrical systems, coordinate with project teams and clients to ensure smooth handovers.

The role requires 5+ years experience, strong knowledge of UPS, switchgear, transformers, and protection systems, plus a track record of producing commissioning documentation and working safely on mission-critical sites.

• Strong knowledge of LV/MV power distribution, UPS, generators and protection systems.
• Experience producing commissioning documentation and leading site-based testing.

Electrical Commissioning Engineer - Data Centre Projects

We're supporting a leading engineering contractor delivering large-scale mission-critical projects across Europe and are looking to speak with experienced Electrical Commissioning Engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support commissioning of LV/MV electrical systems, including UPS, switchgear, transformers, generators and power distribution.
• Plan and execute commissioning activities, functional testing, load bank testing and system validation.
• Coordinate commissioning programmes, documentation and project handover.
• Support Integrated Systems Testing (IST) and verify system performance against client specifications.
• Liaise with project teams, OEMs, designers and client representatives throughout the commissioning process.
• Ensure all activities are delivered safely, in accordance with industry standards and project quality requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical system issues during testing and energisation.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance where required.

Requirements

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or Building Services.
• 5+ years' commissioning experience within data centres, mission-critical or industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of LV/MV power distribution, UPS, generators and electrical protection systems.
• Experience producing commissioning documentation and leading site-based testing activities.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
