Overview

Electrical Application Engineer at Baker Hughes – an industry leader in energy technology. Join the Industry & Energy Technology (IET) team that optimizes extraction, production, and processing of energy across the value chain. This role plays an integral part in planning for the future by delivering technical solutions that meet customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Managing preparation and negotiation of BH technical proposal, responsible for estimating the budget associated with the proposed solution.
• Leading definition of the technical strategy of the project, influencing customers toward BH solutions.
• Preparing the best technical proposal at first submission using bidding tools and implementing, where appropriate, innovative technology.
• Leading technical negotiation, coordinating with supporting functions and attending to meetings/presentations with customers.
• Applying product and quality policies, addressing and mitigating any risks as per BH procedures.

Qualifications

• Have a Bachelor in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Demonstrate exceptional verbal and non-verbal communication skills for preparing proposals, conducting meetings, answering sales/customer questions and writing/explaining technical aspects.
• Have a basic market/technical knowledge of rotating electrical machines (MV-HV motors and generators) and related auxiliary systems.
• Be able to interpret customer economics, process and technical specifications and translate them into competitive technical offering.
• Demonstrate ability to analyze and resolve problems and lead programs/projects.
• Be fluent in English (oral and written) and have excellent all-round communication skills.
• Have very good interpersonal and leadership skills, inclusive team working style and effectively interface with all levels of internal and external customers.
• Be available to travel both to regional and international locations to work with customers on site.
