YOUR ROLE

As an Application Engineer , you will be at the heart of our product development, working closely with customers and cross‑functional teams to design and deliver high‑quality electrical systems. You’ll be responsible for translating technical requirements into robust solutions that meet performance, cost, and quality targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and manage technical documentation (drawings, BOMs) aligned with project timelines.
  • Define schematics and select key components (coverings, attachments) to optimize system performance.
  • Collaborate with customers on DMU, physical layout, and installation FMEA.
  • Support component designers and maintain electrical component databases.
  • Lead wiring harness installation planning and drawing delivery status.
  • Apply Aptiv engineering tools and FTQ checks to ensure design quality.
  • Coordinate design activities across development and production sites.
  • Organize design team meetings and support P‑FMEA in the plant.
  • Lead special technical initiatives and maintain Product Engineering KPIs.
  • Report design progress and risks to the Product Engineering Manager.
  • Support industrialization, PPAP activities, and wiring harness qualification testing.
  • Manage design changes and propose cost reduction solutions (VA / VE).
  • Act as the technical interface with customers throughout the program lifecycle.
YOUR PROFILE
  • Technical degree (minimum : high school) in electrical or mechanical engineering.
  • 3–5 years of experience in the automotive industry, preferably in wire harness design.
  • Basic knowledge of wiring harnesses and electrical components.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with CAD tools.
  • Solid understanding of technical drawings.
  • Customer‑focused mindset with strong communication skills.
  • Open‑minded and collaborative, with experience working in diverse teams.
