YOUR ROLE

As an Application Engineer, you will be at the heart of our product development, working closely with customers and cross-functional teams to design and deliver high-quality electrical systems. You’ll be responsible for translating technical requirements into robust solutions that meet performance, cost, and quality targets.

Responsibilities
  • Create and manage technical documentation (drawings, BOMs) aligned with project timelines.
  • Define schematics and select key components (coverings, attachments) to optimize system performance.
  • Collaborate with customers on DMU, physical layout, and installation FMEA.
  • Support component designers and maintain electrical component databases.
  • Lead wiring harness installation planning and drawing delivery status.
  • Apply Aptiv engineering tools and FTQ checks to ensure design quality.
  • Coordinate design activities across development and production sites.
  • Organize design team meetings and support P-FMEA in the plant.
  • Lead special technical initiatives and maintain Product Engineering KPIs.
  • Report design progress and risks to the Product Engineering Manager.
  • Support industrialization, PPAP activities, and wiring harness qualification testing.
  • Manage design changes and propose cost reduction solutions (VA / VE).
  • Act as the technical interface with customers throughout the program lifecycle.
Your profile
  • Technical degree (minimum: high school) in electrical or mechanical engineering.
  • 3–5 years of experience in the automotive industry, preferably in wire harness design.
  • Basic knowledge of wiring harnesses and electrical components.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with CAD tools.
  • Solid understanding of technical drawings.
  • Customer-focused mindset with strong communication skills.
  • Open-minded and collaborative, with experience working in diverse teams.
