A global space manufacturer is seeking an E2E System Engineer to support satellite optical systems. Responsibilities include developing scientific algorithms, performing engineering requirements analysis, and creating mathematical models. Candidates should have an MSc in Engineering (PhD preferred), strong analytical skills, and be fluent in English. This is a full-time position based in Rome, Italy.

Job Overview

We’re hiring an E2E System Engineer within the Observation system department and the E2E System Design and Verification unit. The role supports End‑to‑End System Engineering activities for satellite optical systems.

Responsibilities
  • Develop scientific algorithms in SAR remote sensing, image processing, and mission analysis.
  • Perform engineering requirements analysis and flow‑down activity.
  • Create mathematical models and budget calculations for optical payload performance.
  • Conduct mission analysis for satellite optical systems.
  • Participate in calibration activities for operational SAR systems.
  • Understand the physical and functional architecture of satellite systems.
  • Define and execute end‑to‑end verification approaches.
  • Write technical documents and project reports.
Qualifications
  • MSc in Engineering (preferably PhD).
  • Strong analytical and technical skills.
  • Problem‑solving capability.
  • Solid knowledge of statistical methods for temporal and spatial analysis of scientific data.
  • Team player with open‑mindedness toward diverse cultures.
