Wood Group is seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation Designer to design electrical and instrumentation systems for pharmaceutical projects. You will coordinate with global teams and external centers to deliver compliant 3D BIM models and installation details, while advancing BIM-driven engineering.

The role blends hands-on E&I design with digital engineering, requiring collaboration across multicultural teams and sites. Proficiency in Revit and strong communication are essential to success.

In this role you will design electrical and instrumentation systems for pharmaceutical and life sciences projects, collaborating with global teams to deliver compliant 3D models and installation details. You will coordinate execution centers and third parties to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery, while advancing BIM-driven engineering. The position blends hands-on E&I design with digital engineering and cross-functional coordination in a multinational environment. • Set up and coordinate 3D model design with Wood Execution Centers (India) and third parties for E&I activities
• Perform and supervise 3D modeling of electrical, low current, and instrumentation systems across disciplines
• Develop E&I design deliverables: power layout, low current layout, lighting, fire/gas, substations, control room layouts
• Prepare electrical and instrument installation details and hook-ups
• Coordinate BIM usage and explore innovative BIM applications in engineering
• Support project budget and schedule adherence through hands-on technical guidance and site/office visits
• Autodesk Revit proficiency for E&I modeling
• Knowledge of Electrical and Instrumentation design principles
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
• Fluent Italian; English at C1 level appreciated
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams
• Experience coordinating third parties and remote execution centers
• Strong passion for BIM technologies and digital engineering
• Availability to work on client or Wood sites/offices as required
• High School Diploma or a Bachelor’s Degree (technical background preferred)
• Minimum 3 years in an engineering environment (Life Sciences or industrial plants a plus)
