As a direct-to-consumer (DTC) brand, we are growing rapidly and expanding our global reach. We prioritize transparency, innovation, and customer satisfaction, and now we’re looking for a Retention Specialist to help us increase customer lifetime value, drive repeat purchases, and build deeper relationships with our community.

Your Role

As our E-commerce Retention Specialist, you will be responsible for driving retention growth across all channels and touchpoints. Your primary focus will be understanding customer behavior through data, identifying opportunities to improve retention, and overseeing the execution of strategies that bring customers back, whether through subscription programs, loyalty initiatives, lifecycle journeys, or other impactful levers.

You won’t be writing email or SMS campaigns yourself, but you’ll work closely with the teams that do, providing clear direction based on data insights and retention goals. This role is highly analytical and strategic, with a strong focus on measurable results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and execute the overall retention strategy, with clear goals for improving repeat purchase rate, customer lifetime value (LTV), and subscription adoption.
  • Analyze retention data, customer cohorts, purchase behavior, and funnel performance to identify opportunities for growth and areas of churn.
  • Oversee the performance of email and SMS programs, ensuring they align with retention goals, customer segments, and lifecycle stages.
  • Lead and optimize the subscription program to increase activation, upsell opportunities, and retention, while reducing churn.
  • Identify, plan, and oversee loyalty or referral initiatives that encourage customers to return and engage more frequently.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, creative, and operations teams to align retention efforts across product launches, seasonal campaigns, and promotional moments.
  • Define KPIs and reporting frameworks to measure the impact of retention initiatives, and use data to guide strategy and iteration.
  • Stay informed on retention best practices, tools, and emerging trends to continuously improve our approach.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in e-commerce retention, lifecycle marketing, or CRM strategy.
  • Proven track record of improving retention and LTV through data-driven strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting cohort data, retention curves, and customer behavior metrics.
  • Experience overseeing retention channels such as email, SMS, subscriptions, and loyalty programs, with the ability to guide teams executing those channels.
  • Strategic mindset with strong operational skills to drive initiatives from insight to execution.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across teams.
  • Experience in skincare, beauty, or other DTC consumer brands is a plus.
