ROLE DESCRIPTION

As E-Commerce commercial lead, Europe, you will own the commercial growth, profitability, and strategic development of Alchemy’s European eCommerce channels across B2B2C and B2C.

This is a senior, hands-on commercial role combining new business acquisition, account development, trading performance, and channel governance. You will work closely with internal stakeholders across Sales, Trading, Supply, Finance, and Operations to ensure sustainable growth, margin discipline, and long-term partner value.

This role is designed to grow into a Head / Director position within 18–24 months based on performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Identify, target, and onboard new eCommerce partners across Europe (marketplaces, e-retailers, platforms, and strategic partners).
  • Build a robust and qualified pipeline aligned to Alchemy’s margin, volume, and risk criteria.
  • Negotiate commercial frameworks including pricing models, volumes, service levels, warranties, and payment terms.
  • Secure long-term commercial agreements, including MPAs and structured back-to-back order plans.
eCommerce B2B2C & B2C eCommerce trading operations
  • Own day-to-day commercial performance of the eCommerce client portfolio.
  • Collaborate closely with the B2C team to maximise sales velocity, profitability, and stock efficiency across channels.
  • Actively manage channel conflict, arbitrating pricing, allocation, and volumes to prevent cannibalisation and margin erosion.
  • Optimise cross-account and cross-channel profitability through pricing discipline, stock routing, and demand planning.
eCommerceB2B2C & B2C eCommerce account management
  • Lead structured account governance, including internal reviews and external QBRs.
  • Develop accounts into recurring, predictable revenue streams with clear growth roadmaps.
  • Plan and execute geographical expansion and line-of-business (LoB) growth within existing accounts.
  • Act as senior commercial escalation point for strategic eCommerce partners.
Annual Business Plan & Budget
  • Develop and own the annual business plan and budget for European eCommerce channels.
  • Deliver revenue, gross profit, and contribution targets in line with agreed financial plans.
  • Track performance against KPIs, proactively addressing gaps and risks.
  • Partner with Finance and Trading teams on forecasting, pricing governance, and margin protection.
Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Work closely with Supply, Operations, Logistics, and Product teams to ensure commercial commitments are deliverable.
  • Provide clear market feedback on pricing, competition, and customer requirements to inform strategy.
  • Contribute to broader European commercial strategy and growth initiatives.
SKILLS REQUIRED
  • 5–10 years’ experience in eCommerce sales, business development, or commercial trading roles.
  • Proven track record of acquiring, growing, and retaining B2B2C and/or B2C eCommerce accounts.
  • Fluent in English + either Polish or Italian
  • Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated experience managing pricing, margins, and channel conflict.
  • Experience working with marketplaces, online retailers, or digital platforms across Europe.
  • Highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; confident presenting to senior internal and external audiences.
  • Advanced proficiency in reporting, forecasting, and presentation tools (Excel, PowerPoint, CRM).
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE
  • Experience in circular economy, consumer electronics, mobile devices, or secondary markets.
  • Exposure to multi-country European trading, VAT, and cross-border logistics.
  • Experience structuring MPAs, long-term supply agreements, or volume-based pricing models.
