Position Overview

The Director Business Development will play a key role in expanding our company, working directly with the management team to drive development and growth activities. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in business development, preferably in the aerospace sector, and a strong interest in emerging technologies, with a particular focus on small satellites. This individual will work closely with engineering and commercial teams and will be responsible for identifying business opportunities, developing new client relationships, and managing the lifecycle of negotiations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development Strategy: Identify and develop new business opportunities aligned with the company's vision and small satellite solutions.
  • Client Acquisition: Acquire new clients and maintain long‑term relationships with existing clients, primarily at an international level.
  • Negotiation Management: Lead negotiations and manage the sales lifecycle, from opportunity identification to closing.
  • Collaboration with Technical Teams: Work closely with the technical team to ensure that proposed solutions align with client needs and company capabilities.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor and analyze trends in the space market, with a particular focus on small satellites and emerging trends.
  • Marketing Support: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop sales support materials, including presentations, documentation, and communication strategies.
  • Brand Development: Promote the company’s visibility and reputation at trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities.
  • Reporting Management: Prepare regular reports for management on the status of business opportunities, negotiation progress, and performance analysis.
Qualifications
  • Experience: At least 5‑7 years of experience in business development, preferably in the space sector, with a focus on satellites and emerging technologies.
  • Technical Skills: In‑depth understanding of satellite technologies, particularly small satellites (Small, Micro, Nano Satellites).
  • Education: Degree in engineering, physical sciences, economics, or related fields. An MBA or master's degree in a relevant field will be considered a plus.
  • Languages: Excellent proficiency in English (both written and spoken). Knowledge of other international languages is a plus.
  • Negotiation Skills: Strong commercial negotiation skills, with the ability to close contracts and agreements with international clients.
  • Results‑Oriented: Proactive, results‑driven approach with the ability to identify and capitalize on business opportunities.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills, ability to work in teams, and manage relationships both with clients and internal colleagues.
