DIRECTOR OF SALES & MARKETING

This majestic resort immerses guests in a 900‑year‑old historic building, rich in charm and Renaissance tradition. It features a collection of beautifully restored monastic structures, a 12th‑century chapel, and nearly 6 hectares of ancient gardens offering breathtaking views of the city, along with 196 meticulously furnished rooms and suites – including the largest and most exclusive suite in Venice.

Annual art installations rotate throughout the property in conjunction with the Venice Biennale. Inside, the hotel seamlessly blends contemporary style with Renaissance influences, boasting six‑meter‑high ceilings, wide corridors, grand staircases, and intricate details such as terrazzo floors, silk‑covered walls, and Murano glass chandeliers, making it one of Europe’s premier hotels for art exhibitions.

Serenity permeates the hotel’s Longevity Spa, which features a heated outdoor pool, tennis court, jogging paths, a pitch‑and‑putt golf course, and a fully equipped kids’ club – ensuring an unforgettable stay.

Role Description

As Director of Sales & Marketing, you will lead the commercial strategy of the resort, driving revenue growth, brand positioning, and market presence for one of Europe’s most iconic luxury properties. You will oversee all sales, marketing, and communications initiatives while building strong partnerships, enhancing guest acquisition, and ensuring the resort remains a leading destination for leisure, corporate, and event clients.

Your main responsibilities will include:
  • Developing and executing the annual Sales & Marketing strategy in alignment with resort goals
  • Leading, mentoring, and inspiring the Sales, Marketing, Events, and Reservations teams
  • Managing key market segments including leisure, corporate, MICE, and luxury travel partners
  • Growing business across domestic and international markets through effective sales activities
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with travel agencies, tour operators, corporate clients, and luxury consortia
  • Overseeing digital marketing, brand communications, and PR initiatives to ensure strong visibility and consistent positioning
  • Monitoring revenue performance, forecasting, and market trends to identify opportunities
  • Coordinating with Revenue Management to maximize occupancy, ADR, and overall profitability
  • Ensuring high‑quality standards in all promotional materials, campaigns, and online presence
  • Representing the resort at industry events, trade shows, and sales missions
  • Collaborating closely with Operations to ensure guest experience aligns with brand messaging
  • Preparing detailed reports, analysis, and presentations for senior leadership
  • Acting as a brand ambassador and steward of the resort’s identity, heritage, and values
What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience as Director of Sales & Marketing (or senior leadership role) within luxury hospitality
  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of high‑end resort environments
  • Established network within luxury travel, corporate, and MICE segments
  • Strategic thinker with excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Expertise in digital marketing, brand management, and PR
  • Strong analytical abilities and proficiency with sales/CRM systems and Microsoft Office
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and emotional intelligence
  • Fluent in English and Italian (additional languages are a plus)
  • Passion for luxury travel, hospitality excellence, and driving commercial success
