A leading international high-tech company in Italy is seeking a Direct Procurement Manager to oversee strategic and operational management of direct procurement. You will develop sourcing strategies, manage key supplier relationships, and lead a high-performing team. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in procurement and strong negotiation skills, preferably in a multinational context. This full-time position is located in Torino, Piemonte.

Our Client is a leading international company in the high‑tech sector focusing on industrial components and precision mechanical machining. For their local Supply Chain Team in Italy, they are looking for a Direct Procurement Manager.

Position

Reporting directly to the SC Director, the Procurement Manager will be responsible for both strategic and operational management of direct procurement. The role oversees the entire procurement cycle, contributing to the operational efficiency of the supply chain function.

Main responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for direct materials, ensuring alignment with corporate and product goals.
  • Manage supply issues and relationships with key strategic suppliers.
  • Lead and mentor team members, fostering a high‑performance culture.
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including single‑source dependencies, raw material procurement and continuity threats.
  • Contribute to supplier evaluation and qualification.
  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Engineering, Product, and Finance teams to align sourcing with business need and also with central Commodities, Supplier Development and SIOP teams.
Requirements
  • Education: Master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or Business Management.
  • Minimum 7 years in direct procurement or supply chain management, preferably in a multinational‑industrial environment.
  • Fluent in English; other languages are a plus.
  • Proven knowledge of procurement and supply chain processes and strong negotiation skills.
  • Leadership and team motivation capabilities.
  • Excellent command of procurement tools (SAP, supplier portal and others).
  • Analytical mindset with experience in data‑driven decision‑making.
