Job summary

Canonical is seeking a Design Manager to lead and contribute to our Visual Design practice, supporting brand and site experiences. This hands-on leadership role requires delivering across campaigns, data visualization, print, and UI design while guiding a team and collaborating with design systems and sites teams.

You will influence the UI of digital experiences and have opportunities to engage in stretch projects that extend beyond the core scope.

Qualifications

• Hands-on design leader with experience managing design teams and delivering design across multiple channels.
• Strong delivery ownership and strategic thinking to guide brand and site experiences.
• Experience collaborating with design systems and sites teams to unify UI across digital touchpoints.
• Capability to work on marketing assets, data visualization, print and UI design projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of designers, balancing people management with hands-on design work.
• Shape and evolve Canonical's visual design language across brand and product experiences.
• Collaborate with design systems and sites teams to ensure consistent, high-quality UI.
• Drive projects from concept to delivery, including campaigns, data visuals, print and web assets.
