Job summary

Micron Technology is seeking a Design/Senior Design Engineer – NAND Analog in the NVE Engineering group in Italy. The role focuses on designing and validating analog and mixed-signal circuits for NAND memory products, translating system requirements into transistor-level implementations, and collaborating across teams to optimize performance, power, and manufacturability.

The position requires advanced degrees in Electrical Engineering and hands-on SPICE-based verification.

• Develop user documentation and contribute to design reviews, silicon validation, and root-cause analysis activities.

The Non-Volatile NAND Design Engineering group is responsible for the design and optimization of analog, digital and mixed-signal circuits enabling advanced NAND Flash memory products. Close collaboration with multi-functional teams ensures scalable, manufacturable, and reliable solutions across technology nodes.

Position Overview

As a Design Engineer in the NVE Design Engineering Analog group at Micron Semiconductor Italia, you will contribute to the development of memory products that are best-in-class, using your specialized knowledge and Micron proprietary methods of designing and analyzing core and mixed circuits used in the development of memory products.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and validate analog and mixed-signal circuits (e.g., charge pumps, regulators, amplifiers, ADC/DAC, bandgap, power management blocks) across the full development lifecycle.
• Translate system requirements into circuit architectures, specifications, and transistor-level implementations optimized for performance, power, area, noise, and reliability.
• Perform comprehensive circuit simulation and verification (DC, AC, transient, noise, Monte Carlo, PVT corners) including parasitic-aware validation.
• Collaborate with multi-functional teams to optimize product performance, power consumption, die size, and manufacturability.
• Develop user documentation and contribute to design reviews, silicon validation, and root-cause analysis activities.
• Layout automation

AI Enablement and Productivity

• Using AI-assisted engineering tools for code generation, review, debug, and documentation.
• Applying AI-enabled analysis techniques to large design, verification, characterization, or silicon datasets.
• Finding opportunities to automate repetitive engineering tasks through AI technologies.
• Evaluating and adopting emerging AI capabilities to improve efficiency, quality, and innovation within the design process.
• Collaborating with multi-functional teams to integrate AI automated workflows into engineering activities.

Min Qualifications

• M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
• Senior role: Proven experience in analog and mixed-signal CMOS circuit design.
• Solid understanding of device physics, variability, noise, reliability, and power integrity.
• Hands-on experience with SPICE-based simulation tools and verification methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work in global multi-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in NAND Flash or other non-volatile memory technologies.
• Familiarity with design automation, scripting (e.g., Python), or AI-assisted design approaches.
• Understanding of layout constraints and interaction with physical design flows.

The base salary range that Micron estimates it could pay in for this position full-time is: 34.000,00 € - 57.000,00 € per year, with B2 CCNL Level.

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base pay for new hire salaries of the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.
