Deputy Country Manager (Working Location: Lainate, Lombardy, Italy)

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage daily logistics operations, ensuring efficient warehousing, inventory management, and distribution.
• Develop and execute strategic plans to support rapid growth while maintaining high service standards for cross-border e-commerce and local FMCG clients.
• Lead, mentor, and inspire a professional team, fostering a positive work culture that drives operational performance.
• Monitor KPIs, identify operational bottlenecks, and implement improvements to optimize business performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, IT, and Customer Service to meet customer expectations and streamline the supply chain.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards, adapting operational plans as business needs evolve.

Requirements

• Proven leadership and management experience, with the ability to manage large teams and complex logistics operations.
• Experience in express logistics is a plus.
• Fluent in Italian and English, with strong business communication skills.
• Deep understanding of Italian business culture and process management practices.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and expertise in operational efficiency and strategic growth.
• Knowledge of warehouse systems, inventory management, and logistics software.
• Proactive, hands‑on, and adaptable to a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
• Familiar with last‑mile delivery is a plus.
