Job Description

Duties and responsibilities

The Dental Assistant is responsible for supporting the Dentist in the delivery of a high standard of basic, emergency, and preventative dental care.

• Prepare the patient and assist the Dentist in all clinical procedures and examinations in a timely accurate and safe manner
• Follow best practices to maintain patient confidentiality ensuring that all medical records are properly kept and maintained
• Will decontaminate and sterilize dental equipment as required in line with the relevant SOP and maintain strict infection control standards
• Prepares the consultation rooms, ensuring the rooms are clean, stocked and always ready to accept a patient
• Ensures best practice in line with clinical guidelines and SOPs
• frm maintain best practice standards of hygiene and cross-infection control, according to the latest clinical guidelines and policy
• Monitors stock level for material and consumables and liaise with the responsible person on ordering

Qualifications

Qualified Dental Nurse with a minimum of 2 Years post qualification experience

Additional Information

Rotations are typically 8 weeks on duty and 8 weeks off duty. Flights, food and accommodation are provided whilst on duty at the project site.
