A leading company in engineering technology is looking for a Software Engineer to design systems for their folding and napkin machinery. The role involves programming, project management, and collaboration with internal teams and customers to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards. Ideal candidates will possess a Master’s degree in engineering, experience in PLC programming, and the ability to communicate effectively in English and Italian.

• Design software systems for our fold and napkin machinery within Detailed Engineering Department
• Program and manage software updates and improvements (PLC, panels, motion control)
• Work on the execution of projects collaborating with other functions involved in manufacturing process and with external suppliers
• Interact with customers to solve and assist customer requests and needs
• Prepare reports and documentation about machinery software and work progress
• Beinvolved in machines startups and tests, both in-house and on clients’ site if needed
• Apply technical solutions for safety according to regulatory standards

To succeed in this role you should have:

• Master’s Degree in Electronic Engineering, Automation Engineering or similar
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role
• PLC programming knowledge (Siemens/Rockwell preferred), LAD, Human-Machine Interface (HMI), Safety, drive and axis control
• General knowledge about mechanical and fluidic systems is a plus
• Proficiency in Ms Office
• Experience with C and Visual Basic
• Fluent in English and Italian
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Accuracy and precision
• Willing to travel
