A dynamic consulting firm in Italy is seeking a Database Administrator to administer and optimize databases for client projects. This role involves working closely with client teams, focusing on database management and security. The ideal candidate will have approximately 5 years of relevant experience and proficiency in PostgreSQL and/or Oracle SQL. Join our team at Amaris Consulting and embark on a new adventure in an international and dynamic environment. As a Database Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting our client in Rome (city), contributing your expertise in database management and security within a fast-growing organization.

Your missions

• Administer, maintain, and optimize PostgreSQL and / or Oracle SQL databases for client projects
• Collaborate with client teams onsite in Rome (2 days per week) to deliver tailored solutions
• Perform troubleshooting, performance tuning, and regular database audits
• Support migration, backup, and recovery processes for critical systems
• Document database architectures, procedures, and security protocols
• Stay updated on best practices and emerging trends in database security
• Contribute to a collaborative and innovative team environment

Your profile

• Approximately 5 years of experience as a DBA, with a strong track record in database management
• Experience in security sector
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Italian
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL and / or Oracle SQL, including advanced administration and security features
• Hybrid opportunity, available 2 days per week on site in Rome (city)
• Experience with database security, compliance, and risk management
• Ability to work collaboratively with client teams onsite
• Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies
