NTT DATA Europe & Latam in Italy seeks an experienced Data Technical Lead to guide a team of about 5 developers through Azure Databricks and Azure Data Factory projects.

You will own the technical design, collaborate with Solution Architects, and ensure delivery momentum while mentoring engineers, optimizing costs, and maintaining quality.

Candidates should have 8-10+ years in data systems, strong Azure skills, and experience leading teams in Agile environments.

Competenze

• Bachelor or Master in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field.
• Snowflake certifications highly desirable.
• 8-10+ years in data systems with 4+ years in leading teams.
• Strong experience in Azure Databricks workspace configuration and administration.
• Expertise in Databricks cluster management, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead a team of approx. 5 developers to implement an Azure Data bricks and Azure Data Factory based solution
• Develop the technical solution spec, estimation, working closely with the Solution Architect

What You'll Bring Along

• BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field

• Experience: 8-10+ years in data systems, with 4+ years explicitly in leading teams
• Strong experience in Azure Databricks Workspace configuration and administration
• Expertise in Databricks cluster management, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of Azure cost estimation and optimization
• Hands-on experience with Databricks AI capabilities, including Genie and Mosaic AI, and their integration into data solutions
• Proficiency in Databricks access and security management
• Ability to create and maintain Databricks Notebooks using SQL, Python, and R/Scala
• Solid understanding of DataFrames, data manipulation, and transformation techniques within Databricks
• Experience integrating Azure Data Factory (ADF) with Databricks, including triggering and orchestrating notebooks from ADF pipelines
• Strong expertise in designing, building, and deploying Azure Data Factory pipelines across multiple environments
• Experience in data modeling, data warehouse design, and management
• Good knowledge of Azure SQL
• Experience working within Agile development environments
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Industry experience within Insurance, Reinsurance, or Financial Services is highly preferred
