Headquarters Allied Joint Force Command Naples provides a resilient static Joint headquarters to plan, prepare, and conduct operations across all domains, supporting NATO's three core tasks at the Joint Operational level. It integrates forces, maintains situational awareness, leads contingency planning, and directs exercises. It can command a Joint Task Force within or beyond SACEUR's Area of Responsibility and provides theatre enablement through a dedicated Joint Logistic Support Group.
The Communication Directorate advises the Commander on communication and information activities, overseeing monitoring, assessment, and coordination functions.
The Information Environment Assessment (IEA) Branch provides holistic assessments of the Information Environment (IE), supporting decision-making and operational understanding. It analyzes effects of communications, maintains situational awareness, and supports hybrid activity analysis.
The IE includes information, individuals, organizations, and systems involved in information processing and conveyance, both virtual and physical.
IEA supports NATO's StratCom decision-making by analyzing media, social media, and disinformation, working closely with other branches for comprehensive operational understanding.
The incumbent's duties include:
The employee may perform similar duties elsewhere at the same grade. In the absence of the Coordination Officer, act as the IEA branch Coordination Officer, managing staff work, communications, security, and administrative tasks.
The work is performed in a standard NATO office environment. Normal conditions apply, with low to no risk, possibly increasing when deployed.

University degree in IT, Economics, Statistics, Operations Research, or related, with at least 4 years' post-related experience, or advanced vocational training leading to professional accreditation with 5 years' related experience.

NATO Courses:
Requires high professionalism, diplomatic tact, and mature communication skills within an international environment. Builds effective relationships and influences organizational objectives through data analysis and communication strategies. No direct reporting responsibilities; reports to the Branch Head. Contract is three years, with potential for renewal. Salary is approximately Euro 7055.72/month, subject to allowances and deductions.
