Job summary

Camlin is seeking a Senior Data Engineer - Data Lakehouse Lead to drive technical direction and deliverables for the organization’s Data Lakehouse initiative. You will shape data models, governance, and pipelines while guiding a team of Data Engineers and collaborating with Analytics and AI stakeholders.

The role emphasizes architectural leadership, delivering meaningful data products, and ensuring scalable, reliable data assets that unlock analytics and AI use cases.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Data Engineering and modern data platforms.
• Strong understanding of data modelling and reusable data structures.
• Knowledge of data quality, metadata, lineage and governance.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the technical design and data modelling approach for the Data Lakehouse.
• Lead the implementation of shared datasets and data products.
• Establish meaningful data models (conceptual, logical, physical) to support analytical use cases.
• Define patterns for ingestion, modelling, transformation, storage and consumption.
• Translate business needs into clear data objectives and engineering priorities.
• Plan the Data Lakehouse roadmap with stakeholders and capacity considerations.
• Align objectives with Analytics teams and other stakeholders.
• Ensure outcomes and quality standards for data products and documentation.
• Guide Data Engineers and provide leadership on complex problems.
• Identify opportunities to improve usability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
