Eurofins Italy Biopharma Product Testing is offering a 6-month Data Engineering Intern role in Vimodrone, Lombardy, Italy. You will connect laboratory systems, data platforms and analytics, focusing on extracting, transforming and structuring data for Power BI and automation.

You will gain exposure to AI and ML projects in a regulated Life Sciences environment. You will work with Python, SQL, REST APIs, cloud data platforms and Power BI, with opportunities to automate data preparation and build

Competenze

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or recent graduate in a related field.
• Strong Python and SQL fundamentals.
• Good understanding of relational databases.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Interest in data engineering and technology.
• Willingness to learn new technologies independently.

Mansioni

• Develop Python and SQL solutions for data extraction and transformation.
• Build and maintain data pipelines for laboratory and operational data.
• Transform raw data into structured, reusable datasets.
• Support development of data lake/lakehouse capabilities.
• Automate recurring data preparation activities.
• Implement basic data-quality checks and validation rules.
• Document data sources, structures and transformations.
• Work with laboratory data sources and analytics teams.
• Create and improve Power BI datasets and dashboards.
• Develop scripts/connectors to move data between systems.
• Investigate data quality issues and improve reporting reliability.
• Explore AI/ML opportunities and automation projects.
